Deputy Sheriff Darren Goforth was a key inspiration for me to start my career in Law Enforcement. I worked with him for close to 2 years and he finally convinced me to go to the academy. What has been done to him and his family is evil and tragic beyond words. Deputy Goforth would never hurt anyone, and always had something to say that made your day nicer. May God bless him, his wife and 2 children he leaves behind. This man had an impact on more lives than I ever realized, and the outpouring of support for him is truly wonderful. I miss you, my brother in blue. Your watch is over - we'll remain steadfast and hold this precious THIN BLUE LINE in your memory, Forever. God bless you, Deputy Goforth. We'll done, Blue Angel.

I would like to echo Sheriff Ron Hickman's statement, "LIVES MATTER". I only worked with Depty Goforth for a short time. In this time he exemplified himself as a caring professional who took the time with every call and citizen contact he made. He was greatly loved by his co-workers and will be terribly missed.

I don't understand why God allows these things to happen. But I do believe in Jesus Christ. These shooters will suffer for a very long time. I hope this Officer is now ok.

These evil shooters deserve to suffer. I don't understand why they do this. I do believe in Jesus Christ. But these evil people take innocent lives.

August 30, 2015

This is just terrible. I hope the shooter gets what he deserves later on in life. The shooter deserves to suffer. I believe in Jesus Christ and I hope the Deputy is ok and is forgiven. These evil ones will be whipped off the Earth one day.
