May your State politicians stand with your brothers and sisters in law enfoecement as we mourn your death. Nationwide, law enforcement is suffering because of a lack of support from Washington, DC. May that change soon.

My condolences to Deputy Goforth's family and the Harris County SO for their loss. Rest in Peace Deputy. Such a sad event to take the life of another good man. This is a senseless MURDER of another law enforcement officer. We need to stop using the term "shot and killed" when there is clear evidence it was a murder. Things need to change in this country. Please be safe out there and watch each others back.

My son is a Police Officer in California. The pride that i feel for him and what he does is becoming harder and harder to balance with the fear i feel every time this kind of senseless tragedy occurs. Deputy Sheriff Goforth is a true Hero, the kind of person that this world needs so many more of. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Deputy Goforth's family, friends and colleagues.

Godspeed Deputy Goforth...

I never imagined there would be a time in our great country's history in which those of us who have sworn to serve and protect are attacked for being the very symbol of a lawful and orderly society. I also never imagined that those in law enforcement would be cast as a "problem" that needs to be corrected.

Deputy Goforth you served the citizens of Harris County and the State of Texas well and faithfully. God's heavenly kingdom is your beat now and I pray that your family, friends and co-workers take solace in knowing that yours was a life well lived.
