The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their salvation in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them:
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they refuge in him.
Psalms 37:39-40
Rest in peace brother.

Police Officer Henry Nelson:

Thank you for your 13 years of service to the citizens of the Sunset, Louisiana and to the Sunset Police Department! "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God" Matthew 5:9. Let us now celebrate your life and remember your sacrifice. "Greater love has no one that this, that someone lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13. However, death is not the end; it does not have the final say! And He [Jesus] said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise" Luke 23:43. Now, my Brother in Blue, rest easy; we will take it from here. "Well done, good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:11. May the Lord God bless you always!

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

God, filled with mercy, dwelling in the heavens' heights,
bring proper rest beneath the wings of your Lord,
amid the ranks of the holy and the pure,
illuminating like the brilliance of the skies the soul of Henry Neilson who went to his eternal place of rest.
May You who are the source of mercy shelter him beneath Your wings eternally,
and bind his soul among the living, that he may rest in peace. And let us say: Amen.
