Patrolman John James Wilding:

Thank you for your service, loyalty, and dedication to duty! "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." Matthew 5:9. "And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send Me." Isaiah 6:8. Let us now reflect on your service to your community and your life's accomplishments with family, friends, and colleagues and not dwell on the unfortunate way you died. "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13. Now go and be with the Lord and serve Him well as you have served the Scranton PA Police Department. "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4. May God Bless you now and forever!

You took a risk to do what was right. How incredibly tragic that it cost you your life, but your heroism is honored here.

I hope these kids learn something from this as they sit in jail and will, when they are released, hopefully many years from now, they will lead productive lives.

God Bless you Patrolman Wilding and may you rest eternally at peace.
