My thoughts and prayers are with the Montgomery County, GA Sheriff's Department at this time over the death of Sheriff Ladson O'Connor. He served his county well as sheriff making it a safer place to visit and live in. Montgomery County, GA is mourning the loss of a great gentleman who lost his life chasing two suspects with the help of neighboring police departments including the Toombs County Sheriff's Department in this chase.

As a Sheriff Deputy i was involved in several chases but none ended up like this, i feel so bad for him ad his children. May Sheriff O'Connor rest in peace, i also hope the people of Montgomery Co. take notice of what goes on being a police officer, every time they report in they never know if they are going home alive. God Bless. Frank Grosse Sr.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln
