John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

May 30, 2016

My heartfelt condolences goes out to Trooper Raspa's family, friends, and fellow colleagues. Revelation 21:3,4 reads "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I pray that God's promise that he has in store for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death brings comfort to all who have lost a loved one in the line of duty.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Anthony was killed.

To the Raspa family, fellow troopers, and all who call Anthony beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace. I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Trooper Raspa gave to his community and the citizens of New Jersey, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 30 , 2015.

May You Rest in PEACE: PSALM 23

The Lord is my Shepard I shall not lack,
He maketh me lie down in green pastures,
He leadth me beside still waters,
He restoreth my soul,
He leadth me in the path of righteousness for his namesake,
Even thou I walk threw the valley of shadow of death, I will fear no evil,
For thou are with me,
Thy rod and thy staff thy comfort me,
Though prepare a table before in the presence of my enemies,
Though anointed my head with oil. My Cup Runneth over,
Surely GOODNESS and MERCY shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the lord forever.

AMEN

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over four years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.
