As a former officer, I hold our law enforcement officers in extremely high regard!
This is a most tragic incident. The scumbag perp deserved to lose his life and I am glad that he didn't get the luxury of living a sentence at tax payers expense. While I am truly sorry for any family and friends that he may have had, I grieve MUCH more for the family and friends that she left behind.
Detective Orozco, I thank you for your dedication and ultimate sacrifice for upholding our laws. I am so sorry to your family and friends, and pray that someday your loss will help them understand your commitment to your community. God bless you and your family.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;

No one can feel the pain of your being taken more than your husband and children, we all feel the pain because we are all family. So long as those who know and love you most keep you in their hearts and minds, you will never truly be gone. I hope your newborn daughter is brought up with so many stories of you, from not only your husband, but your step-children, that she feels like she knows you almost as well as if you were there for her in body, NOT just in spirit.

You did your job, you did it well and sadly, now you are gone. You are a true hero.

God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace, Sister.
