It will be a sad Mothers' Day for the family of Liqori Tate as he was killed by two individuals who committed this terrible act of violence toward a police officer and his partner who was too killed in the line of duty. When next year comes around, I am sure the families of both officers will be there to see the names of Hattiesburg, MS Police Officers Benjamin and Liqori Tate on that monument in Washington, DC to honor the fallen law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

Officer Tate I know you had not been with HPD long but your smiling face always stood out with me on the calls we went on together, you were always happy to be there, I even went away from calls thinking I should take a lesson from you on being a more pleasant person. I know your bright smile is making heaven a brighter place now and whenever my attitude gets bad I will remember you and put a smile on my face.
