Thank you to those responsible for adding Lloyd to this site.
Lloyd was also survived his father, Frank, and six or so siblings, one of whom was my grandmother.

His tragic death was mentioned periodically throughout my life but I’ve had a difficult time confirming the circumstances.

My grandmother, Ida Leaman Simpson, would simply say that he was shot and killed while working for the railroad.

I appreciate knowing the context of his death and that it was not in vain.

94 years ago you were murdered and for reasons not explained here, a great second injustice occurred. Why those who were responsible for your death did not face prison is a mystery, but we can only hope they faced true justice at some point, if not in this life, then in the next.

Thank you for helping to protect one of America's greatest assets, the railroads. You are a hero.

God Bless and may you forever continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without paying tribute to our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 94th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
