My prayers are with your family and to be taken with only short amount of time on the job and life as well breaks my heart. You remind me of my future son in-law Josh Norris EOW Jul 5th 2007 who made the ultimate sacrifice as well. Both of your lifes and time of duty may have been short, but your sacrifice shows a great deal about your moral compass and dedication to duty. If provided the time by the Lord you would have had a great career. RIP brother

RIP, u have made the ultimate sacrifice on your very first tour. This incident tells me you were a great officer, you had what it takes and showed on your first tour the desire to head into the chaos of a shootout without fear, you are and always will be a hero to us all. God Bless, we are proud of your heroic actions.

On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Trooper Trevor Casper and the extended law enforcement family of the Wisconsin State Patrol. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

My deepest prayers, and condolences, go to this hero's family, friends, and co-workers during this tragic time. To have faced the moment of truth on his very first day is unconscionable.

I've had the misfortune of having faced the moment of truth under fire before as well, on more than one occasion. By God's grace alone, am I alive to speak of it. I anguish over why this hero's fate wasn't as fortunate as mine. These are the injustices that we'll never be able to understand fully while here on Earth.

I wish I'd been there for you, pal. I would've joined you in either taking this maniac down together, or fallen beside you.

I've trained several officers as their FTO over the years, and I cannot imagine the loss that your former FTO's are feeling right now. May they hold onto their faith, accept that they've done well in training you, and that losing you was in no way their fault. I'm confidant that they are likely experiencing survivor's guilt, and they shouldn't.

Rest easy. May God bless you, and your family.

Salute.

My thoughts and prayers are with your parents and siblings. Although I don't know you, I know that some will say they wonder what kind of police officer you would have become. Let them all know that you are an example for all law enforcement to look up to. You are a true hero and heroes never die. Continue to look after all of your loved ones.
