To Trevor's friends and family: While I did not personally know Trevor, I know many like him. Young, tough, fit, excited about their new job. Ready to get out there and bring the fight to the bad guys. While Trevor's life was short-lived, he died a HERO!! Who knows how many more lives he saved by ending that suspect's actions that night. God bless Trevor, those that died before him, and sadly those that will make the ultimate sacrifice serving their communities in the future.

My heart hurts brother. I have known many brothers in blue to make the ultimate sacrifice. I do not have words for the sadness I feel for your sacrifice. It was your first day on solo patrol. That is supposed to be the first best day of your career. Blessed are the peace makers son.

Bill Lindeman of the WSP said it all for me in his prior post. You were too young but you did what you were trained to do and you likely saved the lives of others. It is just plain hard to accept. Enternal peace to you and prayers for your family. Many of us share their grief as they will soon see with our rememberence of you and tears streaming down my face as I struggle to write this. I look at the picture of my own 21 yr old son on his first day and yours posted on your last and you two could have been identical twins.
