It matters not if we knew one another personally, losing a fellow Deputy U.S. Marshal, particularly one in the early stages of a promising career is devastating to each of us. I pray that his memory remains embedded in your heart and the love and mercy of God provides a measure of comfort as you go through this difficult time. God bless you and the entire family. Rest in peace DEPUTY U.S. MARSHAL JESSIE WELLS!

Deputy, you earned the title well. I was there and watched while you did. You embodied that which we should all strive to become. Though your life was given in as noble a way as possible, your life was also lived in that same manner. You were that rare individual who was able to light up a room, with just your presence. On the cold morning runs you were the one standing in front leading with a smile. You were the one with a quite joke lightning the mood when others were just suffering through the day, myself included. You were greatly appreciated for it. You will be greatly missed.

Who are we?? We are your brothers and sisters of the USMS grieving our loss. Although hurting we will stand strong we will continue the good fight.

May God bless you and your family, USMS included.

My heart sank real deep yesterday as I glanced at my fellow co-worker's picture. Then my tears began to flow. My youngest son is 27 years old. As a mother I can only pray for Josie's mom and his family that God will comfort them through this time of sadness. I am so grateful to be an employee of one of the greatest employers in the United States. The support and outpour they render to the families and their employees during these times are so meaningful. My continued prayers go out to my fellow employees in the districts affected and especially to the family and loved ones of this brave and well respected young man. May the Grace of God be with you during this time is my prayer.
