Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over three years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

THAT BLUE FABRIC THAT IS THE VERY LINE OF OUR PEACE AND SAFETY

Another Peace Officer has been taken from us. Perhaps he would tell us:

"I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of that blue fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and hold that blue line. I will continue my watch from above."

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO US ALL.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when William died.

To the Sheldon family, fellow agents, and all who call William beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

William, I hope that your family knows that a nation mourned for you. We shall never forget any of our 9/11 heroes.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Special Agent William Sheldon gave to his community and the citizens of our country, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on March 2, 2015

DEAR BILL:

I HAD THE HONOR AND THE PRIVILEDGE TO WORK SEVERAL CASES WITH YOU HERE IN LAKE MARY. YOUR KNOWLEDGE, TENACITY AND PROFESSIONALISM TYPIFIES WHAT LAW ENFORCEMENT IS ALL ABOUT.
YOU SHOWED ENORMOUS CLASS WITH YOUR RESPONSE TO THE 9/11 ATTACKS, PUTTING OTHERS LIFE AND LIMB BEFORE YOUR OWN. YOU ANSWERED THE CRY OF THE WOLF AT THE DOOR AND MADE US ALL PROUD.
REST IN PEACE.
GOD BLESS YOU, YOUR FAMILY, POLICE OFFICERS EVERYWHERE...AND GOD BLESS AMERICA
