I had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with Sr. Inv. Stu Cohen for many years. Stu was a Police Officer with the Hastings PD, Hastings on Hudson NY before his many years of service at the Westchester County District Attorney's Office. He was a professional, effective and tenacious criminal investigator whose quick wit could light up a room, in good times and in bad. His untimely death from medical complications related to on-the-job exposure to toxic substances was a tragic reminder of the dangers officers face everyday. R.I.P.

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without paying tribute to our heroes of the past, Your heroism and service is honored today, the 8th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
