I was 6 months old when my grandfather Thomas G.Ciecka died. I am very proud of him for his service and his life. I can say my grandfather still influences police work today. (53 years after his death). First my Dad (his son in law) followed his path.( Now retired after 23yrs.) Then I followed my Dad with over 18 yrs. in law enforcement. My oldest son Josh has over 8 years in law enforcement. My Daughter Jen has a criminal justice degree looking for her place in this field. My youngest son Jon is a Jail deputy and has applied to be a road officer. You are with us each day in our hearts. Thank you Grandpa Ciecka

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without honoring our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 53rd anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. We shall never forget any of our heroes.

Rest In Peace.
