Uncle Beldon, my Great Uncle, was brave and died much too young. His death was a tremendous loss to his wife, four children, brothers, sisters, and of course, parents. His namesake - my father - talked about the impact of his murder throughout his life, although he died 5 years before he was born. My Grandson bears his name as well. Thank you Uncle Beldon for being so brave.

We cannot fully honor our heroes of the present without honoring our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. We shall never forget any of our heroes.

Rest In Peace.
