Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper Nicholas Glenn Dees

Nick,
We never were that close of friends in high school, but when you go to a small school like Bridge Creek you know everyone. I remember seeing your dad in uniform and thinking you will probably be a trooper as well. Who knew years later we both would be. Words cannot express the sadness I feel or the hurt I feel for your family. I will pray for them. Rest in peace Sir.

Sgt. Cody Koelsch
Okla. City Police Dept.

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

So sorry to both Troopers families but most of all to the one who lost his life trying to help those involved in an accident. Even though he served 18 months he will never be forgotten by me and all who remember him. He was a good man who only wanted to serve his state. Please give his family my regards.
