Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective Michael Lynn Starrett

Many prayers for another hero that your family, loved ones, comrades, and friends will find the strength to celebrate your life and how you choose to live it, unselfishly serving and protecting choosing a career that you loved. I have often heard it said that God doesn't choose the qualified, He qualifies the chosen. I pray all who loved and knew you find peace that God chose you to be a peacemaker. Chief Danny Chapman, I know how hard it must be to lose one of your officers. God Bless you and your department, I know you will all be there for Mrs. Starrett as well as one another during this time when yet another hero gives his life doing what he loved, helping others. I know he will be greatly missed by all. Yes, an entire nation has lost a police officer. Well said Chris Cosgriff. Very well said. My middle son is in his first year as a law enforcement officer after surviving two tours in Iraq without so much as a scratch mentally or physically. As a widowed mother, now disabled, of three sons who choose to serve our country I definitely feel the grief of many brothers and sisters in law enforcement. As I am on SSI disability and I cannot afford to donate monetarily, please know Mrs. Starrett, my prayers are with you mam.
