This one just really breaks my heart (although, they all do). A young man just starting out trying to get on full time. Reminds me of myself starting out as an auxiliary police officer, then a special police officer, until finally getting on full time. Stephen is as old as my oldest son. His family must be completely devastated. A career and a life lost before it was really getting started. God bless this young man, his family, and his friends and the Cliffside Park PD.

Rest in Peace. 22 he had his whole life in front of him and I'm sure a promising law enforcement career. Every day we go to work we take chances and risks that most civilians take for granted or don't realize. I have 3 sons and a step son all wanting to pursue careers in law enforcement. My heart goes out this young officers family.
