For Officer Tyler Jacob Stewart:

Any call that the law-officer responds to, especially when alone, has a certain number of unknown factors to contend with. The domestic violence call presents this issue specifically. No amount of preparation can fully protect the law-officer from the individual who attacks suddenly other than being fortunate enough to be first with whatever it takes to disarm the individual and protect the officer. Each of us must try to be prepared for this moment, no matter what, as it is the key to s u r v i v a l.
We regret that our brother Tyler would be the next law-officer to lose his life at the hands of a supreme coward.
We pray for Tyler's family, co-workers, friends and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days a head.
We are proud to render Officer Tyler Stewart, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
