RIP Officer Kondek. To his wife.. My former husband started his career at TSPD and it tragically ended at Belleair PD on June 13, 1993. Everyone grieves in their own way and their is no timeframe, but I can tell you one thing that helps... Talk about Charlie to everyone who will listen. Reach out to other police widows, and COPS is a great organization and can offer tremendous support. If you ever need someone to listen, please feel free to contact me.

Rest in all mighty peace my fellow brother in blue and may your memory be eternal. God bless you and your family, "we got this locked down!" (Famous words by a famous Sgt.) All have been captured who played a part and they will get theirs on judgement day.

I am reminded of this sacrifice and commitment I have to make every day when I put on that uniform and walk around those streets; knowing I do not choose the day, it chooses me.
We have to be the definition of bravery. We are the ones who make the tough decisions. We have to be stronger, faster, and smarter than those who wreak havoc and devour on the weak.
Officer Kondek is a hero in my eyes. I will continue to pray for Kondek’s family for they are paying the ultimate price of losing their loved one to such an awful moment in time. I will continue to pray for the rest of those on the force all across the county, state, and nation who make the decision every day to get out of bed and put on the badge that is loved to be hated and hated to be loved…
...For I will take these wept unmanly tears and I will shine my shoes bright, I will walk my beat judiciously, and I will take those hard step towards fear to protect those who call our name.
RIP Officer Charles Kondek for I WILL NEVER FORGET!

I am so deeply and sincerely sorrowful for this horrible and unnecessary loss! I cannot even imagine the devastation to his family, co-workers, friends, and others whose lives he touched in the performance of his duties and in his normal, adult life. My thoughts and prayers are with all of those experiencing this loss personally. The loss of his this officer's life diminishes us all!!
