There are no words to express my sadness as I learned of the death of Officer Kondek. My husband is a Sarasota Correction's Deputy. I cannot imagine the grief his family and friends are feeling- blue and non. Devastating is not even a descriptive enough word for it. Thank you for your service sir. May God help your family find peace in such a dark time. Much love and prayers to you and yours. May your fellow officers stay safe and know that even though many express a lack of appreciation for law enforcement there are many more that know your sacrifices and are honored to have you out there protecting us. God Bless. (hugs)

You will be remembered as one who came to 'stand in the gap' between evil and good. May your families memories be one of those who stood heroically in the 'Thin Blue Line'.

Officer Charles Kondek, as you are now patrolling the streets of Heaven please watch 0ver your brothers and sisters left behind to patrol the streets, woods, and waters. May your family always remember you for the heroic life you led here on Earth , because anybody can go to work everyday , but only a true hero can leave a family at home each day and strap on a badge and gun to protect those we do not know, while at the same time always knowing you may not return home to them at the end of your shift. May God bless you, your family, and your brothers and sisters left behind.

May the Lord be with your family in this time of need. Watch over you and your loved ones. I know my words won't help much but God has a way of helping heal in time. My father was a police officer and praise God he got to retire. So many don't. My heart goes out to you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Prayers and requests for strength to this hero's family and friends. Such a sad world we live in. I pray for the safety of all children growing up in it. I didn't know you or your family personally but I consider all members of the police departments around the world, Heros, willing to give their lives to protect ours. Reminds me that Jesus Himself sacrificed the same. One's life is the biggest sacrifice one can offer for the protection of those they never knew!
