I wanted to take a moment and thank you Officer Diamond for your 16 years of service here in LA County where you made it a better place by policing the cities of Los Angeles, Montebello, and Pomona. I am a recruit for LASD and wanted to say I admire your dedication and I wish to one day become half the person you were. I am sure you made an impact in many people's lives. I heard about a homeless man that lived in Pomona and stated he always felt safe during the nights because of Police Officers like yourself. Thank you and your family for the support they gave you to become the person you were

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

We keep a picture of you in the house so everyday we can always take a moment and reflect on the memories of you. Seems like a few days ago we would sit around your garage and drink beer and bull@#%t about everything. I remember the stories that you told me about "Shootin' Newton" and my wife still has the jacket you gave her from the B2V Race. Miss ya pal but, we know you are watching over us. God bless and see ya soon in Heaven.

Shaun I hope you now know how much you are loved and missed.
Touch for me those out of reach, warm the hearts of those now
cold. Light the path for those in darkness, forever now your light shines for me out of that darkness it's you I now see. 143 my

I can't believe it has been a year. Not a day goes by I don't think of you. This year was suppose to be different, you coming back to patrol and us running beat 3 like before.

I am a better cop for having worked with you. I lost a beat partner, teammate, mentor, and damn good friend. I will never forget you Shaun. See you on the other side Brother.

Shaun, What we wouldn't give for just one more day with you. We, your friends, are better people because you were in our lives. So many times we have all wished we could pick up the phone to ask you a question and we keep expecting to see you come walking around the corner as if nothing ever happened. Watch over and take care of us like you did when you were here and know we all miss you every minute of every day. We are blessed that you were a part of our family and for letting us be a part of yours. Until we are all together again, 143 Brother.

"I did not know you personally but we are family, we never broke bread together but you are my brother. You are my blood brother and the only difference between us and them is that our blood bleeds blue instead of red. Officer Shaun Diamond you are a true hero and your courageous sacrifice will never be forgotten. You have made an impact like no other. During the 20 mile caravan to your final resting place thousands came out to the street including children with signs saying how much you have touched their hearts and lives. For miles on end Firefighters, men and women of uniform and veterans stood on top of their engines saluting you. You will live on forever in our hearts. I am truly honored to have gotten to know you today and to share in the celebration of your life. Sleep well brother we got it from here."
