There are things that we don’t want to happen but have to accept; things we don’t want to know but have to learn; and people we can’t live without but have to let go when the time comes. Letting go isn’t the end of the world; it’s the beginning of a new life in God's presence.

As an officer's spouse or partner, you see them off each day, expecting them to come home, but knowing that they may not return at the end of their shift. But you pray and you hope and you have faith. If you are both in law enforcement, you never know which one may receive that last call.

May God bless Officer Reinaldo Arocha's families - his blood family, his married family and relatives, and his law enforcement family members.

Spouse of Michael, ret. NHSP, Mom of NHSP Det. Gregory Hildreth
