Thank you for your Dedication and sacrifice Deputy Norris. You will be in great company above. Prayers for strength and comfort in this tragic time for Mrs. Norris. May you get many blessings from the Lord, your Blue Family, community, family & Friends. A nation and world of Blue line brothers and sisters morn this tragedy with you. This brings back emotions from when we lost our brother Deputy Clint Frazier just last December.

This is a time for you all to stay very close to each other. Talk, cry, hug, say I LOVE YOU. Having trouble with the what if's and why's , talk to a mentor, a friend, a stranger, just talk and get it out.

With Great Condolences,

I've lived in Monroe County for 14 years and I must say that Deputy Norris was the kindest, coolest police officer I've ever met. I'm 18 now and a year ago he actually pulled me over on the interstate in Forsyth and I got put on probation for a year. Through out my probation, he had to come see me at school quite a few times because I was having a hard time refraining from disrupting class and my school bus... And every time he came to see me, he was so kind and caring and shared with me that things would get better for me if I allowed it to and that he was in my spot just a few years prior and to hang on a little longer. I followed his advice, did better in school, and just finished my probation responsibly and on time. I really looked up to him and I planned to return to Forsyth and thank him for his kind words of wisdom and show him my accomplishments.... Unfortunately I saw on the news a few days ago that he endured an awful tragedy and I am so distraught because I never got to thank him for his patience and kindness toward me when I felt completely hopeless. How could someone do this in our small town... You hear about this stuff on the news everyday, but not in Forsyth... He didn't deserve this, for god's sake he was responding to a suicide attempt call! May his soul rest in peace, he was such a great man and so young. I truly believe he served a great purpose. RIP Deputy Norris, you will be remembered.

I'm sorry for your loss in PA. Cops have such a difficult job they rarely deal with good people only scum. I hope the family can find peace at some point. RIP Sir.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Deputy Michael Norris and the members of the Monroe County Sherriff's Office. It never proves easy to bury one of your own as I have had to do the same in my career. Find comfort in one another to pull you through this difficult time and HONOR the life and service of this young deputy. Be grateful that Deputy Norris, like so many before him, cherished the shield and illustrated the fine values it stands for in this evil world. Let us not mourn, but celebrate the courageous life of Deputy Michael Norris. Let us continue to HONOR and CELEBRATE his life of justice and righteousness.
