Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Michael Andrew Norris

Thanks for your service, May you rest in peace. Officer N. Rolle.

DETENTION OFFICER
HENRY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

As the MCSO former Chaplain, my heart and prayers goes out to all the family of Deputy Noriss and his fellow Deputies and staff at the Monroe County Sheriff's office. I have since moved to Wyoming. Michael was the salt of the earth and a light for so many others, just a fine example to others in the community of how true to the calling of a peace keeper this man was to the community. My prayers are with you all. These folks are family to me and as such my heart longs to be in Georgia. I pray that God will guide you during these difficult times, that he will ease your pain during these confusing times, and that during these trying times that the family that you all have at the S.O and in the community will draw closer together, and stand strong in the face of trying times. Know this my brothers and sisters at the MCSO I pray for you daily. I miss you all daily. God Bless you all.
Fly free my brother. As you now see Christ in all his glory, may the Lord keep and and bless you, may he make his face to shine upon you.
some day soon we will all be together, rejoice in the Lords presence, and rejoice in his majesty.
God bless you brother.

Rest In Eternal Peace, Deputy Sheriff Michael Norris. May St. Michael guide you directly to the Right Hand of God. You served your community well, and then selflessly donated your organs when God called you home. You are a hero. Never Forgotten. Thoughts & Prayers. Much Respect.

I am so sorry for the loss of this young man. I pray for his family - I grieve for them. The murder of Officer Norris is senseless, stupid and heartbreaking. I wish the family comfort and want them to know those across the Country feel their pain. Your loved one - your hero will never be forgotten!

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place.
As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say “it’s OK, you’re with your eternal partners.”
A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Deputy Sheriff Michael Norris and the extended law enforcement family of the Monroe County, Georgia Sheriff's Office. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

Deputy Norris,

Thank you for your service. Many LEO brothers and sisters who also chose to "Protect and Serve" welcomed you into God's service.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray:

“Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over three years. Feel those prayers. God is with you; He knows and will ease your pain.

Our faith helps us to see beyond the grave.

For Deputy Sheriff Michael Norris:

Nobody extends to the law-officer any kind of assurance that he or she will complete his/her tour-of-duty without the risk of being seriously injured or killed. None of us who call ourselves law-officers expect such an guarantee, we just take our responsibilities a day at a time and one incident at a time. We are our own insurance that we will survive, but even that cannot be certain. We regret that our brother Michael, and a fellow officer, would be killed and wounded respectively (much as two Pennsylvania State Police troopers and only a matter of hours apart from these Georgia officers, in their home state.)
The fact is that no law-officer, anywhere, is free of such risk of deadly attack by deranged and desperate criminals who will strike with little or no warning. This is a time for unified effort by many professionals to join in bringing justice in these cases, as well and others.
We pray for Michael's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Deputy Sheriff Michael Norris, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Poloice

I was very saddened to learn that we lost another brother in law enforcement this past weekend in the State of Georgia. His shirt was not the same color and badge not the same shape as mine, but I feel a tremendous loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, his family, and his co-workers of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.
