Joe My Brother,

As I write this, I feel unbelievable sadness, and I know this date will forever be burned in my memory. I can't help but think about the times we went to DC with the FOP for Police Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day to memorialize and honor fellow Brothers and Sisters that had made the ultimate sacrifice. We all knew it could happen to anyone of us. We knew how easy it could be for a POS to assault/ambush us out there. I know you honestly strived through training, experience, and constant effective officer safety tactics, to make it harder for that POS to do so. Last night showed that even the best 5%er Cops are vulnerable. G
Your name will be on a lot of EOW Bracelets worn by your Brothers and Sisters. We will make that somber trip to DC to add your name to the wall on that hallowed ground at 4th and E Streets. We will raise our glasses high, and toast your memory as a circle of Bagpipes play Amazing Grace. Rest assured Joe that you never be forgotten. Love you Brother.
