Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Joseph John Matuskovic

There was a nice lull in LE deaths the first half of August. Now, unfortunately, it has picked up significantly. My condolences to this officer's family, friends, and department. EMT Larry Britton is equally a hero for responding to the call and doing his job. I hope they are both honored together by their jurisdiction.

Joe you were an amazing deputy. You always gave me advice whether I wanted it or not. I saw you with your children and how much you adored them. For this I am saddened even more for your loss. I believe in The Lord and know you are in a way better place. You have my word that I will not forget your children and step children that you had to leave behind. This wasn't supposed to happen. I am confused and wish I could make sense of it all. I love you.
