On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Geniel was killed.

To Geniel's family, fellow officers, and all who call Geniel beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Agent Amaro-Fantauzzi gave to his community and the citizens of Puerto Rico, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on August 25, 2014.

For Agent Geniel Amaro-Fantauzzi:

The drug-agent is a special brand of law-officer who accepts the added risk of bringing to justice the vicious and greedy vermin who enslave others in the misery of drug-abuse only for the seller's personal gain. We regret that Geniel would be the next drug-agent to fall performing the duty that not all of us are capable of doing. We are grateful to those who captured his killer. We pray for the wounded officer, Genial's family, co-workers, friends, and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the day's ahead.
We are proud to render Agent Geniel Amaro-Fantauzzi, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
