THEIR SACRIFICE IS TREMENDOUS, AND IF THEY COULD, THEY WOULD TELL US

"I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above."

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO US ALL.

To the Family and Officers of this Hero who gave his life in the line of duty, my condolences in this terrible of times. I'm sure there are Children and Grandchildren alike that will miss their father and grandfather, and a widow. God bless you all. And to the Officers who followed their leader who will also be at a loss. God bless you all.

And to the murderous thug, may you rot in hell.

I had the good fortune to have worked with Mike in the mid 70s with the Austin Police Dept. Our patrol districts were adjoining so we made a lot of calls together. Mike was always there when I needed him and always had my back. Although I haven't seen him in many years, this brings back many good memories of our time together. He was quick to show a smile and easy to work with. A good man and a good cop. He will be much missed. Deepest sympathy goes out to his family, co-workers and friends. Farewell my old friend and brother in blue. RIP

I had the great honor of working under Chief Pimentel. In BISD. He was a great caring and proffesional person, who was always there to help you out even if it was just words of encouragement. He always tried to make sure his officers were in the right state of mind. He always had your back! My prayers for the family and friends are that GOD give them the strength to pass through this time of great loss.
