God is still standing by Chief. The tears we shed for one another could overflow rivers. I ask God to keep your family and friends in perfect peace. No greater love than this, that a man lay down his life for a friend. We will mourn your passing but will never forget your dedication, service and sacrifice of serving others. Breaks my heart every time I come to this site and another warrior has fallen in the line of duty. God had greater plans for you Chief and now you can begin patrolling Heaven's gates.

I'm so sorry this happened. I feel inadequate to express my condolences adequately. As a former police dispatcher these type of situations were always my greatest fear. May God be with this officer and his family.

To the family of Michael Pimentel: God be with you at this time of sorrow. The media likes to report on the negative too often that our men and women do in uniform in a difficult occupation. I am thankful to all Police who put on the uniform every day. Michael will be in my family's prayers.

On behalf of the Westerville, Ohio Division of Police, our thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family of Chief of Police Michael Pimentel and the extended law enforcement family of the Elmendorf, Texas Police Department. Rest in Peace brother and watch over us.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God.

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord;
he is their stronghold in time of trouble.
The Lord helps them and delivers them;
he delivers them from the wicked and saves them,
because they take refuge in him.

We were academy mates at Corpus Christi P.D in 1984. You provided the needed leadership we needed. I will always remember your guidance and advice throughout the 26 weeks we spent together. Even with 10 years of prior service at Austin P.D, I wasn't surprised to hear you were still in law enforcement 30 years later after we graduated the CCPD academy.
RIP Mike.
