During times like this there are no words to express how I am feeling. Thank you Officer Westerfield. Thank you for putting on the uniform everyday to protect us. Thank you for putting your life on the line each day. Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice as so many have before you. I grew up in a neighboring town with a police officer as a father and can only imagine what the family (both blood and blue) are going through right now. Our prayers are with the entire family.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences on the loss of Officer Westerfield to his family and members of his department!

It sad to hear of the fact that so many of my fellow law enforcement brothers and sisters give their lives to protect us!

I wish to thank God that I was able to see my retirement without getting seriously injured throughout my career and graceful to be able in spending time with my children!

Jeffery, R.I.P. now and forever!

For Patrolman Jeffrey Brady Westerfield:

The law-officer on the street has the immense responsibility of keeping order among a cross-section of people that either support him valiantly or despise him fiercely. There hardly seems an in between at times. We regret that Jeffrey would be the next law-officer to be gunned-down by a low-life who would flee into the night. Our pledge of allegiance to one another behind the badge guarantees that the culprit(s) involved will be hunted down and justice will be served - or we will never rest. Count on it.
We pray for Jeffrey's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.
We are proud to render Patrolman Jeffrey Brady Westerfield, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.
We

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
