Thank you for your dedication and service . God bless all of my brothers and sisters in law enforcement across this nation .

Officer Mayo
Houston Police Department

After more than 40 years of LE it never gets easier for me to learn of another murder of an officer especially one from my own department. As I grow older and into my retirement years I get increasingly disgusted by what is occurring to our brother officers. Low pay, politics, uncaring public, and youth that does not have a clue as to the sacrifices officesr have to make to keep citizens safe . God bless the soul of Officer Westerfield and our prayers are with his family forever.

I had a friend of mine that was killed in a very similar situation in the 1990's in Prince George's County Maryland. What a coward to ambush someone like this and not even give this warrior a fighting chance. I pray for the family of Officer Westerfield and I also pray for this police department, this is very hard to get over.

God Bless
