Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Patrick Scott Johnson

I'll always remember Scott as a genuine person with a vision. He was honest, trustworthy, and above all true; true not only to himself but to others.

Scott, Even though you were a few years younger than me you left a lasting impression and I looked up to you for the way you carried yourself. God Bless.

To all:

I've left a reflection for Trooper Rich, but won't copy it to the Sarge. I'll recite the words of Chief Tecumseh quoted in the movie Act of Valor.

"Live your life so that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand they respect yours.

Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and it's purpose in the service of your people.

Prepare a noble death song for the day you go over the great divide.

Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes, they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way.

Sing your death song and die like a hero going home."

In VALOR there is hope.

With abiding respect to Trooper Rich, his family, and friends, this is for you too. Rest in peace brothers, we have your 6.......Out.

Respectfull, I am.
