On today, the 58th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Lewis County. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections/Detention Officer.

This year I'm honoring Turnkey Patrick J. Fogarty while providing support for the annual Law Enforcement United Road to Hope. A 250 mile bicycle ride honoring those who have fallen in the line of duty. Thank you for your service. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this ride and the rest of police week.
