For Officers Juan Gonzalez & Brian Law:

The patrol-officer works on one of the deadliest battlefields - a United States highway. Each year the claim of lives is in the tens-of-thousands with little change ever. No amount of caution ever appears to be enough, and even we who patrol are hardly free of the risk of death or serious injury. We regret that Juan and Brian to be the next law-officers to be also tallied in the count. Sadly, this random cavalcade of carnage will continue.
We pray for Juan's and Brian's families, friends, co-workers and all who care about them.
We proudly proclaim them to be heroes based upon their placing themselves amidst a sea of traffic while trying to bring needed emergency assistance to those in peril on the highways.
We are proud to render both of them, soldiers-of-the-law, a final salute.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
