My husband and I have never attended a funeral like this before.
I was touched by the story and wanted to go.
I sent Nannette a msg. After looking her up on Facebook and was touched by her reply to me.
She was truly married to a very Special man.
The funeral service was so tender and loving as was the man it honored.
The words were heart felt and so so full of emotion for Corey.
The musical numbers were sang so beautifully, so touching.
I was brought to tears several times through out the service.
The last two musical numbers really touched me and made my heart ache for the family.
I have ( either one of us ) never been to more tender and touching Tribute to someone who has passed away like this before. It was amazing.
I felt very honored to feel like we were part of it.
I wanted to wrap my arms around Nanuet the so much and tell her how sorry I was that this happened.

My heart bleeds for the family of Sergeant Wride. I know all too well the heartache, pain, and anguish they are going through as I lost my husband, Master Trooper J.A. Walker, Virginia State Police, last March 7, 2013. He too was shot and killed in the line of duty. This is just another reminder of the senselessness and tragedy that law enforcement face everyday in their line of duty.

May God wrap his loving arms around the family, fellow officers and friends as they go through this difficult time

Mrs. Junius A. Walker

I live in Eagle Mountain, and although I did not know
Sgt. Wride. I feel that my city is a better place because of him and of the many fine officers like him that serve.

Everything that I have heard about him make me wish that I had known him. He sounds as if he is the kind of man that I would have liked to have called my friend.

They are building a new elementary school near the place where he was killed. (I think that it is the Highland/Alpine school district. I would like to see the new school named after this fine man.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wride family and the Utah County Sheriff's Department.

“Be assured that there is a safe harbor. You can find peace amidst the storms that threaten you. Your Heavenly Father—who knows when even a sparrow falls—knows of your heartache and suffering. He loves you and wants the best for you. Never doubt this. While He allows all of us to make choices that may not always be for our own or even others’ well-being, and while He does not always intervene in the course of events, He has promised the faithful peace even in their trials and tribulations.”
