My condolences to Sgt. Baldwin's family, friends, and colleagues of the Jefferson County SO. As the anniversary of this tragic incident has passed, I thought Jehovah God promise for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death can bring comfort to all. Revelation 21:4 reads "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

"With Angels wings You'll ride the clouds
To the pearly gates You'll guide the crowds
No need to knock upon heavens doors
They'll be open for you, with thunderous roars
Enter in, enjoy the peace and rest your soul
I've waited to crown you and make you whole
It was fate, it was time, to come along with me
To create, now we shine, where you belong to me
Your earthly story is not for humans to mourn
You've lived a life worth living your a man reborn
A place where some stop and stare at the night.
You took hold of it, conquered and fought a good fight."

He went to work that day and did not know
This shift he served would bring such sorrow
This call to duty would be his last
His time on earth is now his past
God set this day as his time to go
Rest in peace Sergeant Baldwin, now a hero
He gave the ultimate sacrifice
With integrity and pride he paid the price
His family, friends and colleagues will mourn
As an angel in heaven he is now reborn
His golden heart stopped beating
Hardworking hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the very best.
