I came across this today as I was thinking about my dad and missing him dearly. It is incredibly comforting to know so many people keep his spirit alive and remember him for all the memorable moments shared.

Tomorrow is 3 years since my husband has passed. I still can't believe he is really gone. I was touched to read all the wonderful messages left to Garrett. It shows how much impact he had on the lives of people all around him. Let's keep all of our first responders in our prayers and hope no one else gets sick. God Bless.

Gary
I was at the Knights of Columbus last nite
And asked one of the bartenders if you
We're working.
He said you passed away and I was shocked at
The sad news
He paused for a second and said that
they all greatly missed
You at the hall
It's been years since we commuted to the
Police Acadamy as rookies(bags). We had alot of
Laughs with John Okeafe (RIP) and Mitchell
You liked to drive your Mercury Cougar and
We all appreciated that you drove to Manhatten
For those memorable 6 months in 83
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to
say goodbye
Rest Easy My Brother

Gary
Thanks for being a "big brother" to me as a rookie cop when we worked in the 13th pct in 1984. Our car pools home to New Hyde Park were always filled with adventure.
It is with tremendous gratitude that I have these fond memories of you. I shall never forget.
