The Sheriffs of Florida and their deputies will never forget the sacrifice you and your family made to uphold our laws and protect society.

Your name has been inscribed on the Florida Sheriffs and the National Law Enforcement Memorial and in our hearts. May you forever rest in peace.

This is my first message.
To Danny's family, my deepest sympathy. I worked with Danny for a number of years, while he was in the Detention Dept.(the Sheriff read my evaluation during the services) he was a pleasure to work with. He always had a smile on his face (even at 3am) when I conducted rounds in his unit. He proudly spoke of his family, his love for his son and how proud he was of his mother.
I recall the day he was accepted to the road and how excited and happy he was. He lived life on his own terms and died doing something he enjoyed. I wish we could all say that one day!

This is the first message I leave for you even though there's not a minute I don't think about you. My son, you always made me so proud . I always told you anything you want you can get you just have to try, and try you did. I miss you your calls, your texts your loud laugh. But know that a piece of my heart left with you the day you left. I love you and can't wait to see you again.
