The Little River Band of Ottawa Indians expresses our sincere sympathies and prayers to Trooper Butterfield's family and to his extended family at the Michigan State Police. Paul was a familiar face in Manistee County for many years, and had a positive & influential impact on our community. He worked side-by-side with all law enforcement partners and was respected for his principled character, work ethic, good humor, and whit.
