Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sergeant Derek Ray Johnson

My thoughts and prayers are with Sergeant Johnson's wife, son and other family members and friends. I lost two officers on May 20, 2010 gunned down on Interstate 40 in West Memphis while conducting a traffic stop. One of the officers was my son Brandon and the other officer Bill Evans.
Lives will be changed forever. I will pray for all members of the Draper Police Department. The coming days, weeks, months and years will be difficult without Sergeant Derek Johnson.
I am always be available if anyone needs to talk.

A police officer should be remembered not by how he died, but how he lived! A great man has gone to secure a safe path for the rest of us to follow. Thank you to you, your family and the Draper Police Department. Our country is a little less safe without you. Rest in Peace Brother.
