For Sergeant Mike Wilson:

Most of us in law-enforcement have had the experience of responding to family-argument situations. It stands among the most dangerous of assignments and we sadly recognize Mike will not be the last to forfeit his life in the service to others. Despite our basic, and in-service training, our commitment to backing one other remains our best defense.

We pray for Mike's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

As a retired state trooper, and Lake County (FL) deputy sheriff, I am among those proud to render Sergeant Mike Wilson, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

Pennsylvania State Police

Thank you for your service. May the light of Christ ease the pain on the ones you have loved, and those who have loved you in return.

It is with deepest sorrow that we address Sgt Wilson today. We would like to thank you for your endless service to Charlotte County in protecting our community. On a personal note, we want to thank you as parents for the time you took to work with and bring words of encouragement to our son while you were the Resource Officer at Port Charlotte High School. Our son has spoken of you many times throughout the years and you made a permanent mark and change in this young student over ten years ago. Through all the students and others that you have touched within your role as a law enforcement officer, you have left a legacy that will enrich our community and their lives. May Heaven Father bring comfort and peace to you, your family and the CCSO. As your families Guardian Angel may you protect them throughout the years until reunited again. <3 Families are Forever <3
