It is with a very heavy heart that I extend my most sincere condolences to the family, friends, and fellow LVMPD officers in the very tragic loss of Officer Vanbuskirk. To have such an outstanding man taken during the prime of his life is truly devastating. To Officer Vanbuskirk I want to say "thank you for your service" in making our community a safer place to live. To Mrs. Vanbuskirk and the Vanbuskirk family we all must say "thank you" for sharing David with the law enforcement community and enduring all of the hardships and sacrifices that are encountered by police officer's families. May you always remember David as a true centurion of your life and our Las Vegas community.
