Why did this man have to die? Why was the suspect out on bond? It saddens me that a good man is killed because of a judge allowed bond to be posted. This is our system though, and sworn officers will support it. Sgt. thank you for your service...god bless you.

I just wanted to say that Sgt. Lance McLean was a wonderful officer who helped me with my son a few years back when he ran away for several days. He was caring, compassionate and genuinely concerned for his where abouts. He kept in touch with me continually checking on my son until he was found. I was comforted knowing he was actively looking for him till he was found safely. He was truly a fine officer and one of Granbury's finest! You will be missed Lance and my thoughts and prayers go out to your family. May God be with them in their time of need! There is a special place in Heaven for a servant like You!
