I know your hearts are heavy and you miss having me there
But now I'm resting with the Lord and free from every care
I just shook hands with Moses, I met John and Mary too
Now I am enjoying a body that's brand new
It really was amazing when I walked through the gate
I saw the beauty of this place and I could hardly wait
To come into the presence of the Father and the Son
Where I heard him say to me the priceless words WELL DONE
Jesus took me by the hand and said I'm so glad you're here
Come sit beside me for a while and let me hold you near
Then he took me down the streets and running to meet me
Were many fallen heroes I had longed to see
People I didn't know came up to me and said
Because you gave of yourself God saw that I was fed
God has given every soul a special job to do
Know this my wife and daughter, I'm watching over you
Soon we will be together never more to part
Until then just remember I'm as close as your heart

Rest easy brother, you have stood your watch with pride and professionalism. Go to the promised place where you can look down to see your brothers continue what you have started. Thank you for your service. May the light of Christ ease the pain on the ones you have loved, and loved you return.
