Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Steven George Netherland

My reflection of this man. Is from a true life event from a young woman who Steven Netherland was dispatched to the young woman's home in Pineville La. Spring branch estates was the name were her home was located. Netherland went there to pick up the young woman an take her to Cross Roads mental hospital on request of her mother because the young woman was depressed. Netherland as drove young woman to the facility decided to pull his penis out while he was driving an talked dirty to young woman an in parking lot before they had reached there destination which could be seen in distance. Stopped under shade tree an proceeded to threaten young woman with worse punishment if young woman wouldn't perform oral sex on him. Young woman refused an Netherland forced her to do it. Then he proceeded to Cross Roads an dropped young woman off. Young woman was 14 yrs. old at the time this happen. So how you the young woman reflects on this pour excuse of Police officer who was supposed to protect an server. Reflect on this She wasn't the only victim that's for sure.

My thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Netherland and his family. I will have the Honor to ride with the Police Unity Tour from New Jersey to Washington DC in May. In a show of support and remembrance for Deputy Netherland, I shall be wearing a Law enforcement Memorial bracelet inscribed with his name and hope to turn it over to the family during police week. Please remember "It is not how these officers died that made them heros it is how they lived". God Bless Deputy Netherland and all that knew him. Be safe.

Deputy Netherland,

You are joining the ranks of those who served and fell before your time. They will greet you with open loving arms.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, family and loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for the past two years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
