Officer Sprague was a good officer with a very kind spirit and even bigger heart. I had the pleasure of working with him for four years with the Pine Bluff Police Department and you couldn't ask for a better officer to work beside. Take your rest Jason and may your memory forever live on through the lives you have touched during your tour of duty.

Pine Bluff Police Department

Dear Sprague Family,

I am so deeply sorry for your tremendous loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry your husband, father, son, brother was so senselessly taken from your lives. May he rest in peace.

Sprague Family, my family suffered the same loss, officer Timothy Ryan: fallen on Feb. 11, 1943. He left behind my pregnant Grandmother, my young Aunt (age 5) and my father (age 4).

I will pray for your family. Officer Sprague served our citizens and loved his family. He will be remembered.

I am so deeply sorry for your tragic loss Sprague Family. My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.

As you departed the bonds of this earth and touched the face of God, know that the service and dedication you had for your department, its fellow officers and the citizens of your community will never be forgotten. May God comfort in this time of sorrow your family, your fellow officers and all those whose lives you have touched. You have served your time in hell, now rest comfortably in the arms of God. RIP, we’ll take it from here.

God didn’t promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain; but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears and light for the way.

Officer Sprague,

God duly rewards those who protect and serve.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, family and loving, caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name, Amen”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for the past two years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
