For Special Agent Christopher Lorek:

Training is essential for the law officer and especially for those whose assignment is extraordinary, precise and that involves advanced job-performance techniques. We regret that Chris would be among those who suffer loss of life in the process of making themselves at peak for job performance. This tragedy emphasizes the added risk that special ops law-enforcement types face from the moment that they accept to train for such exceptionally hazardous duty.
We pray for Chris's family, friends, co-workers, fellow agent Steve Shaw, and all who care about him.
We are proud to render SA Chris Lorek, a soldier-of-the-law, a final salute.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND COLLEAGUES OF UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE - FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION, SPECIAL AGENT CHRISTOPHER LOREK.

My heart is filled with great sadness at learning of the lost of your loved one and fellow Agent.
We in the law enforcement community are a family.
Though we may wear different uniforms and have different badges, shields or stars pinned upon our chest.
Our area of enforcement may vary, for we consist of many different agencies from across the nation, we are:
Municipal Police Officers, Sheriff's Deputies, State Police Investigators, State Highway Patrol Troopers, Conservation Police Officers, College Campus Police Officers, Correctional Officers and Federal Agents just to name a few.
We patrol small towns, large cities, college campuses, county roads, state highways, state parks and America's borders.
Whether active duty or retired, we are one family, a law enforcement family, brothers and sisters bonded together by HONOR, SERVICE and PRIDE.
Daily we honor our fallen brothers and sisters never forgetting their sacrifice.
Daily our position is clear that we will SERVE and PROTECT our communities without faltering and with no hesitation.
Daily we show pride in our chosen profession LAW ENFORCEMENT, for we willingly walk the line of GOOD over EVIL facing the unknown with COURAGE keeping our trust and faith in GOD.
We know that evil roam these streets and at any moment in the course of performing our duties the ultimate sacrifice might be required of us in the service to our community, for LAW ENFORCEMENT is not a job but a calling and only a few will make the decision to commit to that calling to serve for some will give all that they have.
SPECIAL AGENT LOREK
You did not die in vain
You sacrificed your life in the service to the citizens of the United States of America with Honor, Pride, and Distinction.
I'm proud to have worn the uniform of a law enforcement officer.

For you left us doing what you chose to do.
Performing a job you were trained to do.
Upholding the oath you swore to do.
Most importantly doing what you loved to do....................SERVING and PROTECTING your community with HONOR and PRIDE making a better and safer place for us all.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.
