I read this reflection from Deputy Douglas Hanna that died early this morning. It was touching and brought back the memory of the pain and sorrow when Michael lost his life responding that early morning. I am sure our son sent us the same message. There wasn't a night that went by that I didn't ask God in my prayers to keep Michael safe. I have always respected law enforcement and was aware of the danger of their job but until we lost Michael, and now I receive notice from the Officer Down page I am so aware of how many brave young men and woman died protecting us. Rest in peace Deputy Sheriff Douglas Hanna, my God comfort your family and give them peace. Like our son Deputy Sheriff Michael Christopher Walizer Charles City County SO, VA. EOW 3/31/12, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten. Michael's mom
